Brazilian Sugar

Filed under: Uncategorized — bing @ 4:39 am

In the Sao Paulo region of Brazil is where most of the sugar is grown because the land is fertile, and flat, which is a prime for both growing and harvesting sugar cane. Thus Brazil became the world leader of the sugar industry and is expected to produce 32 million tones of sugar this year. But don’t you know that Brazilian Sugar cane crop is for ethanol production rather than sugar? Then it is very possible to double the sugar production and flood the market with cheap sugar. Majority of the sugar is unrefined centrifugal sugar which ranges from around ICUMSA 400 to ICUMSA 1500, purchased by buyers who then refine it in their own plants in their own countries.
